This compact unit accepts audio & video signals via an HDMI or DVI input and converts them into a DisplayPort signal. This allows HDMI or DVI devices such as a PC, bluray player or Sky HD box to be connected to a high resolution monitor. For added convenience the Converter features a USB power cable, allowing it to be externally powered when used with a low power interface such as Intel HD4000.
The available resolutions depend on the EDID of the DisplayPort monitor, however resolutions such as 2560×1600/1440p as commonly found on 30″ Monitors are not supported.
